I generally hate change, but I very happy with the changes.
Although the new feis format takes some getting used to, we are happy there are more comps for my prelim dancers to enter - AnC has the regular prelim comp, plus solo rounds (similar to grades), trad set, contemporary set, and the confined comp, which is a prelim and non-placing open dancers for 1 round!
The number of feis is lower, but the amount of dancing per feis is higher - so the argument that CLRG is more competitive is crap.
Also there are more opportunities for dancers who love to dance but don't love competing.
I will definitely miss hanging out with my dance mom friends from other schools at the "O" but my dancer is happy and that is really all that matters.
