I don't think that it was embarrassing if boys at school Pe lessons had to be bare chest while the girls could wear what they wanted.

It was not really embarrassing in my opinion.

It was sometimes the same in France in mixed classes with boys bare chested while girls had tee-shirts and boys were not embarrassed.

As regards your medical examination during the draft campaigns, it seems that your experiences were very different of most of the relations that we can read on various forums and also of some photos on internet.
I am really surprised that yoy had so much privacy, no group exams, no total nudity in group, presence of women nurses and ckerks and so on ..

First I presume that it was not in the former soviet union but in Russia after 1989. ? when rules had much changed!

Second at what age were you summoned for your first draft physical examination ? at 16 age as it is often related in the forums for a first physical before a second one at 18 age or it was later for you at 18 age?

Why were you summoned two times, was it the same year or two different sucessive years because the chief military doctor did not want to exmpt you the first time before a second checkand he decided to postpone you for one year. ?
These two exams took place in a draft board office in your city so I presume that you were not too much numerous and there was not a large room ?
You were certainly summoned same day than some classmates of your school ?

And it was carried on first with you clothed, then only at the end undressed until underwears and only the last doctor, a surgeon pulled down your underwear to the knees. So it was not very embarrassing ?

But why were you summoned a third times in a central regional draft office ?

You had then different exams performed by different doctors but without female nurses present and you stayed in underwears except in one doctor's office where you had to be naked. So there was in your opinion nothing unusual.
Were you examined alone when you were in underwears? and at the end naked ?

It is surprising for me since until now I have read a lot of relations where the draft physicals were rather degrading ?
