I realized that I've responded to several threads on here but haven't actually introduced myself. I'm 19 and still spanked.
When I was younger, my mom would handle my spankings, and my dad would handle my older brother's spankings. They figured it was best to keep it same gender for modesty reasons.
Well my mom's spankings were kind of a joke to me. She didn't spank hard, and really didn't seem to want to spank at all. So that meant it wasn't a serious punishment for me, and I didn't really care about that as a consequence. She began spanking me over my panties when I was 10 instead of bare like she had before because she decided I was getting old enough that modesty was important.
I kept getting in trouble though and was pretty badly behaved all around. My brother had moved out for college when I was 11. He was always a good influence on me, so I started getting in even more trouble when he left.
My dad was becoming more and more frustrated with me. The final straw for him was when I was 14 and had been caught shoplifting. He accidently walked in on my mom giving me a spanking for that. He noticed I was being spanked over panties and he said they should be taken down, and that my mom should be spanking me a lot harder. My mom didn't go along with that.
Later that night, my parents had a discussion with each other and then informed me that my dad would be taking over my discipline from now on. My mom used a variety of punishments but my dad said he would use spanking exclusively as a punishment and it would be a lot more severe than what I was used to.
The first spanking I got from my dad, I was mortified at the idea of him seeing me in my panties, so I asked if I could keep my jeans up. Not only did he yank them down, but he took my panties down too. He said he didn't care if I'm embarrassed and that he was going to spank me like my mom should have been doing.
He has been VERY strict with me. Even for minor offenses that would just get a warning from other parents means a spanking from my dad every time. He started when I was 14. I'm 19 now, and his methods of spanking me have gradually become more severe over time. He says it's to match the level of responsibility he expects of me as I get older.
When I turned 18, he made it clear that this meant absolutely nothing to him in terms of his authority to spank me, and that it just meant his standards for me have increased.
One of the more recent changes in his methods has to do with modesty. He always spanked me bare butt. The exact details of how it was bare didn't matter as long as he had an uncovered target. After I turned 18, he earned me that there would be more serious adult consequences for misbehavior, such as going to jail. He started having me strip completely naked for spankings and get in positions meant to be extra embarrassing. He says if I make choices that put me in jail, then I will have to get used to this sort of thing anyway.
To be fair, I had been in legal trouble several times as a juvenile, so his concern was justified. I think his strictness has been beneficial to me though. I was never a good student, but I currently have a 4.0 GPA in college. That would have never happened if he hadn't been tearing my butt up on a regular basis.
