Subject: speaking of G4s crashing

i'd like to start this message by saying how wonderful the G4 is. Oh, how i love that computer! it is like a warm summer breeze packaged into a plastic box with a million dandelions radiating joy from the center.

now hopefully, if the G4 is reading this, it will stop reading after the above paragraph. because the G4 is really bein an asshole...i mean, it bitch slapped me up and down the mr. fleenor-mrs. mcauley hallway several times. see, i was almost done editing my movie when i decided to empty the recycle bin (thanks to the advice of my buddy Pearce). so i'm emptying it out, but it seems to get stuck at the last stage....so mr. newman hits the reboot. well, when we opened my file back up, the G4 decided to take creative liberties and remix my movie - repeating certain frames it liked and so forth. Oh, and rearranging clips so they were backwards. well, i was a bit peeved, so fleenor recommended i re-import the clips that were corrupt.
ok.
well, that turned out to be all of the clips. fantastic. so i re-imported and re-edited the movie, and i said, whoopeee! but then, the G4 saw what happened at the end of my movie (the horrible destruction of a fellow computer, albeit a PC) and kicked my ass once again. it crashed and said it didn't like the cut of my jib and that i should leave town and never come 'round these parts again.
well, i tried everything. the file wouldn't work. three more crashes (that's a total of 5 so far) and i have to start with a fresh file (yaaayy!) and i re-import everything again. during this process the computer crashed 2 more times (total = 7 ) but i finally edit the entire thing.

well, that's where i am now...i still have to add audio and some tightening of shots, so let's see what it does to me on tuesday.
