In reply to: Chris 's message, "Re: SCSI LC 120-MB Super Disk Drive" on 05:04:30 03/21/02 Thu

I have received an e-mail back from Alan Computech Co. and they say this unit was not designed to work in a Macintosh. What's funny is I e-mailed them twice before ordering to make sure it would work in a LC 575 w/7.5.3 and they assured me it would. I replied this info to them along with a copy of the original e-mail answers I received before purchasing. Their reply was a copy of an e-mail from Winstation stating the same thing. Then they had the nerve to say I could return it with a 15% charge restocking fee if I didn't want the unit.

Well...

I went to the Winstation site and e-mailed them asking for the drivers. I'll be waiting for them.

What I don't understand is the manual that came with the unit says the Mac drivers are included on a floppy with the unit. There are two floppies, one for Sun Solaris and one for Win 95/98/NT. The third (Mac) floppy wasn't included. The others were no good to me.

Not sure what's going on but thought I'd keep you fellows up to date with it. If anyone has any input I'd appreciate it.

Connor
