I made an adapter like that once. I the connector is impossible to find. I stumbled upon it at a computer show. My advice to you is: Remove the cable from the harness, and replace it with one that has two connectors on it. You can make the cable more flexible by peeling the conductors away from each other in groups of five. (Or less, if you have the time to waste doing it.)
