Thanks. Jeff pretty well succeeded, albeit with a bit of plastic surgery to accomodate the extra bit of the a/b that can't be cut off.

This seems to me to be a significant area of work, since in my experience, it's the failure of a/bs that most often consigns CCs to the scrap heap.

Has anyone got a 575 a/b lying around that they could shift surface mail to me, please - obviously I'll pay. Failing that, there's a 575 a/b on eBay atm from an excellent seller.
