The guy doesn't want to negotiate. Or, more accurately, he won't knock off more than a buck unless I order something ridiculous, like 1000 pieces.
That tells me he has wholesale access to new old stock. Our task now is to go over his head and track down his source, where I'm sure he's getting them for at least $5 less than what he's offering them to me for.
