Joerg Garritzman, who devised the CL26 modification, recommended a 1500v part. When I did my PCC, and the CL26 mod was needed, I found it hard to get a 1500v part (1000v parts are hard enough to source!).

So, get a 1.5kv part if possible, but 1kv should be seen as the minimum. I've never put a meter on the terminals to see what voltages are present. If anyone wants to try, feel free, but be careful!
