Subject: Mystic Sleep

I've always wanted to use my Color Classic "Mystic" as a Home Automation server . But because it's so darn cute, I've always been afraid of "wearing it out" by running it 24/7.

I'm not concerned about the logic board. I am concerned, however, about component aging on the spiffy Trinitron monitor.

Does anyone know for sure if system SLEEP will indeed remove all power from the monitor, leaving it dead cold 24/7; or does SLEEP still maintain some level of "component-aging current" in the Trinitron electronics?

Or should I even worry ... ?

(I can't tell you the number of dead and dying SONY tv's I have around here.)
