I'm not sure the problem is hard drive, or software related. The SCSI devices won't mount using different (working) hard drives installed internally either. Plus, shouldn't I be able to boot from the CD or external hard drive even if I had no hard drive or one with a blinking ? for example. This is my problem really, I'm trying to install a new OS on a new drive, but can't get the scsi devices (hard drive/cd)to work. I wonder if maybe the problem is a bad scsi port or something on that order. I'm gonna keep tryin'. M
