Subject: Lookie What I Got!

Lemme tell the background first, as it will explain the whys better...

So a few months back (September? early October?) my college decided to throw out a few monitors. A working Portrait w/cable and two MS15s with colour problems were the victims. They set them out in the basement of the library, as usual, and I asked if I could have 'em. "Of course. Pick 'em up whenever you want." So I figured I'd wait until I had more space at home...

Fast forward to this afternoon. I went down there to talk with one of our networking guys, who wasn't there. The monitors were gone. I was more disappointed about the Portrait Display than anything, but I asked one of the other networking guys if he knew where they went. He said that the guy in charge of the college's recycling program came to get them and that they were now in his office.

I went over there, and there they were, sitting in front of a cabinet full of other computer gear. I asked him if he cared if I took any of it. He said no. So I started cleaning out the cabinet...

One free Colour Classic with a "broken" post-it note on the front.

"Broken" apparently means "Has flashing question mark." Works fine. Guess who can't wipe the grin off his face?

(Also got a LW IINT, SE w/Brainstorm card, a couple keyboards, and those monitors, plus some miscellaneous junk, all in unknown condition. Looks like my weekend will be rather busy...)
