(MY COMMENTS IN CAPS, NOT TO SHOUT, BUT FOR CLARITY!)

After reading this, I thought it would go like this,
* There is a cable between IP8 and LP14.

NO. 'CONNECTED' MEANS BY PCB TRACKS, NOT A CABLE.

* Disconnect the cable from LP14.

NO CABLE.

* Then, connect the cable to the S1 pin.

DITTO.

Right now the analogue board is like this,
* There is no cable connected to IP8.

CORRECT!

* The yellow cable is connected to a different place (not IP8) in the photo.
This is seen in both Stuart's and "Doping Mac"'s explanation.

THEY ARE CONNECTED IF YOU FOLLOW THE PCB TRACKS.

* There is no such S1 pin found on the analogue board.

IT SAYS, "S1 PIN OF THE CONNECTOR" - NOT ON THE BOARD. IT'S PIN 1 OF THE EDGE CONNECTOR.

* Instead there is J89 printed on the surface of the board.

IRRELEVANT!

Do I have to get a yellow cable?

ANY COLOUR WILL DO.

Where does this cable come from?

JUST AS IN THE PHOTOS ON MY SITE.

HTH,

Stuart.
