I think I found the speakers. They appear to be Foster-Culver television speakers, appropriate for installation near a CRT.

http://fosterculver.com/fullrange.htm is the URL to check out if anyone else is interested.

I've contacted Foster-Culver with a request for more information, specifically where I might be able to find these in the US, technical details, and how much they cost.

MISUTHiKU, I'd greatly appreciate it if you could contact Mr. Tsun and ask him what model number those speakers are that he used, and how much he paid for them.

I'm also still rather curious as to how that tube for them was constructed; I took a look at the Babelfish translation of the page and I understand it's a saran wrap-type tube cut in half, but I'm not sure what that whitish plasticky material is that connects the two halves.

If anyone has any idea where I might be able to source these speakers in the US, PLEASE post it here and/or e-mail me privately.

And yes, I realise they're driven from the headphone jack in Mr. Tsun's case, but since I'm doing the stereo upgrade on the analogue board anyway, I figure I might as well connect them internally for a cleaner outside look. I have a parts 575 on the way that I'm going to cannibalise for bits and pieces if I need to.
