Subject: Re: VGA out question (external VGA monitor connector)

Not quite - I need not use CRT and analogue board at all. What I need is to get the same sort of signals as on VGA connector of any graphics card from 6500 logic board (needed to my LCD interface controller). Minimal set of signals are R, G, B, HSync and VSync. According to Takky's wiring diagram the only available signals are: R, G, B and Composite sync. So my problem was to split composite sync signal to HSync and VSync. After some investigations I've found what I needed and more - I dicovered that my LCD interface controller accepts composite sync signal as well (on it's HSync pin).

Anyway here's the URL of the splitter (if anyone wanted) basically just one IC: http://www.hut.fi/Misc/Electronics/faq/vga2rgb/vgamonitor.html

Using this information now - anyone could build their own VGA out (mirroring CC's screen to external VGA monitor).
