I just purchased five of these heatsink-fan combos intended for 486s from somebody, but the name of the place escapes me at the moment. I'll post a followup when I get home from work.

Caveat: unless you can call the vendor and determine there is a totally flat bottom on the heatsink, BEWARE! The 486 is ever so slightly smaller than the 040, and the heatsinks had a small lip on either end where they were supposed to fit down over the edge of a 486. I had to machine this lip off so that the heatsink would sit directly on top of the 040. Had I not done so, there would have been about 0.5mm of air space between the heatsink and the CPU, and we all know that air is an excellent insulator...

Thus, if you don't have tools to machine off a lip and can't find one that is flat on the bottom, I'd be happy to sell you one of mine for a small premium over what I paid (which was about $4 before shipping). Just e-mail me and we can work something out.
