Subject: VGA Mystic completed
In reply to: Chris Lawson 's message, "CC VGA modification posted" on 20:43:56 07/12/01 Thu

Thanks to Chris's new guide, my most recent CC became a Mystic with VGA last night.

I notice that because the VGA screen refreshes at 60Hz rather than the 67Hz of the 'hi-res' mod, the display is wider, and won't need the capacitor hack to widen it. I noticed a similar 60./67 difference with my work with a 475 board in an SE/30 driving a 12" mono screen electronics.

Since the revised screen mod should help preserve our Mystics for longer, perhaps the process should be known as pickling? ;-)

Stuart.
