Subject: Zip drive in a CC

Has anyone ever put a Zip drive into a CC? I've heard of the old M/O floppy sized drives being put in place of floppys on other kinds of Macs, but never in a CC/5xx

I've played with the idea, and gotten the Zip drive to physically fit, by:

cutting the back off of the floppy drive sled, and
using some spacers to make the mouth of the Zip drive line up with the floppy disk slot on the CC's face.

To complete the physical mod I would:

drill a paperclip hole to line up with the Zip's, and
carefully dremel the floppy disk slot about 1/8th of an inch wider on both sides (it is already tall enough).

Now I'm at an impasse. I would like to continue using the SCSI HD in this CCII (550 L/B) and the SCSI Zip drive. Unfortunately the SCSI ribbon off of the harness only has room for one SCSI device. I've checked around and no one seems to make a ribbon with a SCSI socket on it, a SCSI "Y" cable if you will.

Any ideas for a ribbon cable? I'd rather not rewire the harness if I can help it (that and my inability to successfully do the VGA mod are why I don't have a PCC).

Without the floppy drive, will the power supply have the juice to run a SCSI hard disk and a Zip drive together?

I've got pictures of everything so far, so if I get it to work I'll make a pictures and captions page of it all. (I love pictures and captions pages).
