Michael, did it ever occur to you that maybe, just MAYBE, we are the ones who speak properly and you guys talk wrong? I mean, it could happen. Anything is possible. Who is to say what is proper grammar ad what is not? Are there some big grammar gods in the sky who make up the rules? I think not. So here is my hypothesis: Back in the day, we all lived together in one land, but we spoke different. We made fun of you guys because of the way you talked, and you were the minority. We were the majority and you were all our slaves, but then you all overthrew the majority and expelled us to the island we now live on and call Newfoundland. Climates were difficult to adapt to, and a lot of our people died off, but the clans who managed to survive passed down their ancient way of speaking. I like my hypothesis. It sounds believeable, don't you think? Yes, its certainly DO!!!
