Haven't used it through the entire holiday, although we did consider it.
They did spend a week and a half in it for backtalk and slacking off chores.

Diaper discipline is a big combination of punishments, rather than a real alternative here.
Phone gets taken as well, as little kids shouldn't use those.
They have less freedom. We decide when it is play, nap, bath and (early) bed time.
And we also land some quick smacks at every diaper change.
Typically only four, but that's enough to serve as a reminder.
