Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

I’m a father to two wonderful little girls Hannah (10) and Leah (7). God didn’t just ask for me He chose me for them. And while I often feel unworthy of such a task, I try each day to walk in obedience, even through my imperfections. I’m not the most patient man, and I lean more on the strict side, but my heart is full of love for them. Everything I do including discipline comes from a desire to raise them in truth, order, and love.

In our home, we follow DD and for us, that includes both domestic discipline and diaper discipline. While that may sound unusual to some, it has been a gentle, humbling, and very effective tool in our journey. Brattiness, sass, and willfulness don’t define our home respect, sweetness, and peace do.

Our approach includes:
• Warm-ups to prevent bigger trouble
• Maintenance to keep hearts aligned
• Corner time for quiet reflection
• And age-appropriate consequences that include humility-based methods like diaper time when needed

These practices are not harsh, but deeply rooted in love. They offer structure, restore peace, and remind the girls — gently but clearly who is in charge and how much they are cared for. There’s something powerful about consistency and calm authority when it’s always followed by a hug, a smile, and a prayer.

As Proverbs 22:6 reminds us:
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
This is my heart’s mission. To raise daughters who are kind, respectful, and rooted in faith and who feel safe and truly cherished every single day.

I know not everyone understands or agrees with every method. But I believe when discipline is guided by Scripture, love, and humility, it becomes a blessing not just to the child, but to the whole family.

If any of you walk a similar path, I’d be grateful to hear from you. I’m always learning always trying to be a better father, led by the Word and by the gentle whisper of the Spirit.

With love in Christ,
Robert
