You only need to put the harness on once, if you put it under their clothes it can be worn when sleeping, bathing and at school. My child had her harness on 24/7 under her clothes at first, just to get her used to it. You can then have the reins attached when needed, for the long term.you can cut a hole in their shirts for the reins to attach, but short term.you can have them running under neath and out the bottom. You'll find It's very useful for keeping them in bed or sat in chairs. It re-enforced their place.
