Tim was part of a larger "organization" that was obviously anti-government, but considers itself patriotic. It actually has christian as well as white supremacy ties. This "organization" made Tim feel that he was part of something great and it excused his hatred by reinforcing that it was pure and truthful. This gave him a sense of righteousness until the time of death. I agree Buzz, he was not alone. In fact we DONT know if he honestly did it. He could have tried to take the credit. However we do know that T Nichols and others were involved to a lesser degree(?)The tracking of the van rental led to Tim and the authorities put one and two together, such as his extreme white/christian/anti-gov. beliefs and his military background. Most likely he would have committed another act of cowardice if we had not caught him. Who knows, the Element of Suprise is the deadliest weapon.
