Subject: HMS on May 5

Dear friend,

Greetings from HMS (Home for Mandarin Scholars,
Pu-Tong-Hua-Xue-Ren-Zhi-Jia)!

We are very glad to invite you to the HMS meeting at 5 pm on the coming
Saturday, May 5. Please note that the meeting will be hold ONE hour
earlier, that is, 5 o'clock, instead of 6. All the bus services will be
provided one hour earlier than usual.

Do you remember professor Lin Zhi-ping? When he came to HMS two years
ago, the meeting hall was over crowded. Even though around 80 people
stood without seats, his intellectual, intersting, insightful, and
humorous talk gained everybody's attention for two hours. He is a famous
historian, a dedicated social worker, and an author of many books about
histroy and modernization. He is also a very popular speaker, has a deep
understanding of Chinese intellectuals and often gives presentations at
univerisities in Mainland. That's why he received an appointment as an
honorary professor at Qing Dao Univeristy.

His title for the talk is "A Reflection of Modernization of China".
Please come to join us. To reflect on Chinese modernization will help us
step into the post-modern era. Please bring your friends to the
meeting too. We are confident that you will feel fruitful by spending
the night this way.

As said above, the meeting will start in the St. Andrew's
Church **one hour earlier** than usual:

5:00-6:45 Hymn and Gospel Talk
6:45-7:30 Free Dinner
7:30-8:15 Questions and Answers

We will provide bus service from the following campuses.

Friends from HKBU, please take the bus at City U:

City University:
4:25 pm U-Circle [Hui-Xuan Guang Chang]

HKUST:
