"Roses" isn't supposed to be an earth shattering song, it is simply a 3 minute tune with a catchy beat. If your going to judge Mantra on one song, than I think you're judging a book by it's cover. While "Roses" may not be the greatest song in the world, and even if it is cliched (and what music today isn't?), they still have a bunch of absolutly killer songs that the world has yet to hear. I recently went to one of their band practices and I heard "Ether" and "Ethereal" for the first time, and let me tell you, it blew me away! It sounds just like a song Tool would create. Everything about the song is amazing. This song definatly shows the talent of the band as a whole and independently. I also heard "Broken Mirror" which is an absolutly kickass song with lots of cool riffs. This song will definatly be a show closer. So until you hear these songs (and the rest of them), you really shouldn't judge these guys. Thanks.
