i'd like to see YOU write that guitar part, "john". roses is a very good song by its own right, and has received a lot of attention locally. yeah, the bassline is unoriginal. it goes along with the song, though. it's better to have a simple bassline that compliments the song perfectly than to have the most complex bassline and have the song suck because of it. if you've noticed, "john", the bassline follows the song's melodic structure, not that you know anything about melodic structures, or maybe even music in general. the song is actually more towards 4 1/2 minutes, but hey, who's keeping track... and egos? these guys have little to none. now you should check out guy fox's egos, wow, that's what i'm talking about. when they're up onstage, it's like it's your privilage to hear them, they're so caught up in themselves. but alas, we'll never get to hear their cd...

tool?! now THERE'S a band that knows what the fuck they're doing, i can't wait until they bust out ether and ethereal live, that should be cool. there are no bands out there that are an alternative to tool (chevelle sounds like them in their opiate days, but that's the closest it gets), so this should be fun to hear.

for now,
Gambit
