Subject: Yale - Stories and Scouting Report

I have not seen Yale this year, but I saw them twice last year vs Penn and Rutgers, and I think they return their entire team. They played about 10 players, all their players were about same..... meaning very good players. While I do not remember specific players, I do know that most of their players can shoot and hit the 3. They always seem to have at least 4 guys on the court that can score from the outside. To me, that would mean we need to see a lot of Maxwell a the PF for defensive purposes. Yale reminds me a lot of Marist who has a player like Eppihimer who can drain 3's from the PF, but also take it to the hoop on smaller SF's.

Their guards can take it to the hoop, and some of them can be quite atheltic. Edwin Draughan is a 6-5 So. athletic guard and he is their best player. Defensively, Michael Bell would be a good matchup on him..... remember that Bell did a great job on Blizzard of UNC-W, who is also a big Guard. They have some big guards..... Minoff is the other one.

Yale has a lot of team quickness, not neccisarily individual quickness. I think our guards can match them, but I feel that we need to be concerned with their players a the 3, 4, 5. They will double team our big men quickly, so our Big Gus cannot be putting the ball on the floor. Deng Gai will be key here if he can get the ball in a finishing position..... like an alley-oop. They have a good big man in 6-8 T J McHugh.

Would like to see us match them up quickness wise (up front), if we do that I think we can win. I would like to see more of Max and Delfico at forward at the same time, and even Michael Bell at some SF when they go with 3 guards. They will pressure our guards, and I think we need to do the same to their guards.

This is going to a great college hoops game. Really looking forward to it. I say Stags win it at the Buzzer, with a 3 by Bell.
