Subject: A win is a win

I could hear the place groan and then booing when TOT put his second five at the scorers table with the Stags up 10-2. They got off to a great start with lots off synergy and energy on both sides off the court. As a Fairfield Faithful, I guess you have to put faith in th system, but I think Yale was pretty happy to get the first five off the court. By the way Yale employed a similar substitution pattern minutes later.

I thought Robby T was the difference in the game--his hustle and determination produced a number of big rebounds, blocks and most importantly baskets at the end of the game. It was the best game Kujo has had in a long time--making two three pointers, great D and timely rebounding. Yale was good--but certainly no better than American or Iona.

Delfico has some clutch hoops, rebounds--and Garcia continues to be a magician underneath the hoop with the basket. My favorite Combo unit tonight was Goode, Belle, Gai, Garcia and Thomson. Ajou limped off the court after each time he was in--almost a liability on defense.

What looked like a blowout from the beginning was a much closer game then it needed to be. But a win is a win.

I don't understand why a TOT who is up in a game 10-2 with 15:41 left in the first half would substitute his entire team. Makes no sense to me! It killed our momnetum and made the game a lot closer then needs to be. That was plain wrong.
On the bright side we did win the game, not like in the past when we probably would have lost.

The booing was terrible. If you are a player walking out on the court and hear the boos, it must be terrible. It would bother me. I realize that those boos were intended for TOT but come on, do you think the players know that?
