Subject: Milk the Clock and Remain Aggressive

Its not and either-or thing. You can still milk the Clock and at the same time play agressive.

We lost the 14 point lead at Rider pretty quick when Oscar shot quick into the shot clock, missed and then fouled Rider. He was being agressive and our 14 point lead went down to 8 very quickly (in about 30 seconds). If we are a high powered offense then I would say to continue the agressiveness, but we are not. When we have a 14 point lead:

- Milk the clock down to 15sec
- Then be aggressive on offense, 15 seconds is enough to run the offense
- Run only when you got the fast break
- play agressive "D", but Don't foul
- Don't give up 3's
- Hit foul shots

Thats the formula to win games. If you want to see blowouts and risk losing the game, then another strategy is is in order.

What the Stags need to do is to work on their 15 second offense, where one of the key commponents would be if the shot clock got down to 5 seconds, the ball better be in the hands of Todd (2nd choice Maxwell), as those are the 2 players that can create off the dribble, and make a play or get fouled in that time period.
