Subject: Max in Middle

It is becoming increasingly more evident that Dewitt Maxwell needs to get more time under the hoop. Since the Dengs came back and Oscar returned from injury, Max has been spending most of his time at SF, and hence, more time on the outside.

But it does not have to be that way.

We should have plays setup for Maxwell to post up, and have our big guys float to the outside. IMO, Max would be a tough guy for anyone to handle with his quickness, post moves and handle.

Having our big guys on the outside for some plays in not so bad, as they have shown a good ability to connect from the outside. Gai is shooting 47% from 3, Garcia showed he can hit from 15-17ft against Rider, and Robbie knocked down an 18 footer, which I think he should take more cause he would be wide open. The key here would be for Ajou to return to form, and play an inside-outside game with Max.

The Coaching staff said at one of the Post games that they know that Max is more effective inside right now.... we just got to get him more time/plays down there.

If FU is facing a man to man, Gai should float to the perimeter and Maxwell should post. a small forward/guard will be covering maxwell and I like his chances to score in the post against what would likely be a smaller player.
