Subject: Are we a little bitter

Do I sense a little hostility from a stag fan. Well just to have you know the Jaspers are for real this season unlike your choking stags who were unworthy to hold on to first place. I mean come on every bum team that starts out playing other bums in the beginning and may jump out to a 7-0 start will think that they are actually good. That was the case with the stags who were clearly winning on luck against the bottom maac teams. The stags are a straight up joke and there is no way they will beat Manhattan again this year and thats considering if they can even make it to the semi final round. Jaspers are clearly the team to beat and the ones who will be hoisting any kind of trophy this season. Who in the hell is the Stags possibly going to come out swinging on when they can't even blow the bum teams out!! You guys are a joke and the laughing stock of the maac, see you losers in Trenton!!!!!!!!!

I tend to agree that Manhatten is a better team than Fairfield. Manhatten beat two quality out of conference foes, something Fairfield has yet to do. But that being said, Manhatten like Fairfield has been fading down the stretch. Losses to Iona, Siena and Fairfield have proven Manhatten, if better, is only a little better and is capable of losing on a given night.

Don't count on Manhatten reaching the finals. And if they do, don't count on them winning. Manhatten has yet to prove they are anything but a one and done team come tournament time, and even in the two season where they sweep the stags during the regular season, they managed to get beat by Fairfield in the tournament. Iona, Fairfield, Niagara, Siena and Manhatten in my mind are all capable of winning this thing, with Iona and Siena having shown themselves to be strong tournament teams (Better coaching) and with Manhatten and Fairfield still having something to prove. For the record O'toole is 2-4 in the Maac tournament with his only two wins coming against lowly Manhatten. Manhatten is 0-4 under Gonzalez, Ruland is 9-2 and Lanier 4-0. So in my opinion, it would be wise for the Manhatten and Fairfield fans to keep their mouths shut into they actually win something. O'toole and Gonzalez for whatever reason have been "unlucky" come tournament time.....

Looks like we are in for an exciting MAAC tourney. The Stags always seem to play better when they are in the 'underdog' position anyway. The #2 seed is a great spot for the Stags to be. Let them come out swinging, just like they did at Draddy! I bet those Jaspers are praying that Flores doesn't go stone cold like he did at the beginning of last night's Iona game. Johnson saved the Jaspers this time...but there's a LOT of pressure when you are the #1 seed and you rest your laurels on one player....can you feel the pressure, Jasper Foward? See you in Trenton. Make sure you don't get too comfy in that champion position while your team sits around and eats popcorn all week. There are plenty of hungry teams with some depth ready to hold that trophy nice and high! :)

Hey idiot, by posting BS like this, you only subject yourself to bashing if Manhattan doesn't win it all. Be a little practical, that is, Manhattan can go out as quickly as we can and can win the whole deal, just like FF, Siena, Niagara or Iona. You are the best team in the MAAC, but a fraction, and it is because of one player, Flores. He is a wonderful guard, and without him, you would be a middle 200 RPI team. If he doesn't go off for 44 against us in Bridgeport, we sweep you this season. I agree with us not blowing out teams that we should blow out, but be careful, we still have 17 wins and beat UNC Wilmington without the Dengs, lost to St. Johns without the Dengs by 13 (and it was much closer). Be careful big mouth - if you lose, I will be all over you, on this board and your board. Trash talking, while comical, only can take you one place, downward.

Your claims, which are are certainly entitled to make, lead us to conclude you are going through life with blinders on.

Although Fairfield lost 2 out their last 5, Manhattan lost 3 out of their last 5. Fairfield only won 4 out of their last 6, Manhattan only won 3 of their last 6.

Congratulations on your blowouts. Where do they get you in the postseason ?

Maybe Manhattan is the team to beat, but I would wait until they actually do beat other the other teams before putting the trophy on the shelf. After all, isn't it Manhattan the one that tends to "choke" when it counts, in the tournament ?
