Subject: Big Picture for Dance

While we Stag fans will all be rooting for the boys to bring home the trophy, I am curious to hear conventional wisdom on the NCAA seeding for the MAAC champion.

Based on record, OOC wins, RPI, etc. I see the following:

Manhattan #14 seed
Fairfield #15
Siena #15
Niagara #15
Iona #15
Marist #16
Rider #16
Canisius, SPC, and Loyola Play in game

Does this seem like a fair assessment?

I'd say a little better, lets not forget one of the purposes on the new format was stop the top seeds from playing too many of the RPI anchors, so in Siena or FF case they will have played each other plus probably Manhattan so their RPI would be better than it currently is my prediction for final RPI should the team win plus its NCAA seed

Manhattan 65- 13 Seed
Fairfield 80 - 14 seed
Siena 85 14 seed

Niagara and Iona both would be 15’s and anybody else a 16 or worse a NCAA PIG participant

It seems pretty obvious to me, for the Sake of the MAAC the NCAA team should come from Manhattan, FF and Siena. Who also happen to be the 3 most talented teams in the conference IMO

With our Conference rating at a good #16 and if our #1 seed, Manhattan, wins the Tourney they should get a #13. Remember other Mid Majors top seed will not win their Tourney. I think Fairfield, Siena, or Iona would get a 14 seed, because they all would have 20+ wins. So overall I think the league will get a higher seed:

Manhattan #13 seed
Fairfield #14
Siena #14
Iona #14
Niagara #15
Marist, Rider, Canisius, SPC, and Loyola - Play in game. I think NCAA will really frown upon a team with a losing record in the Tourney, no matter what the league RPI
