Subject: Nice win tonight, and my team is dancing!

I caught the St. Peters game on the way home from school in Philadelphia and met some fun alumni at the reception - it was great meeting you guys. The Peacocks made it a game in the second half but the Fairfield defense was just too intense. The last game on the evening looked like a good game (I only caught the end on MSG when I got home) and getting past Siena tomorrow will be huge. From the sentiments many of you expressed, it seems like you'd rather face Manhattan than Niagara in the championship but we'll just have to wait and see.

On a side note, my Penn Quakers clinched the Ivy League title tonight and the league's NCAA tournament bid (there is no conference tournament). It will be interesting to see if Brown can garnish an NIT bid out of a well played season (most losses came without their leading scorer). Any thoughts on how the MAAC NIT picture plays out? Manhattan won't get an at-large bid to the NCAAs if they lose...what about the Stags' chances if they are godforbid to lose Sunday or Monday?

Anyway, time to get some sleep and get ready for the semis tomorrow night.

There will be no at large bids to NCAA Tourney from the MAAc this year. Only three teams to be considered for NIT, Manhattan, Fairfield and Siena. Of the three, who ever is not going dancing will be in the NIT.

Sorry Niagara, rumor is that the NIT selection committee doesn't like the color purple
