You are obviously very biased or are totally ignorant of the game. Our weakness is in our inconsistent guard play. To make a statement that you would not trade any of our backcourt for Clark shows how devoid of understanding or objectivity you are. Your arbitrary and erroneous use of statistics illustrates further this lack of knowledge or truth. In a check of Clark's stats I find that his shooting percentage is 40%, not 30% as you loosely throw out (39% from 3), and he averages 20 shots per game, not 40 as your equally complicet colleague alleges. Further, Clark now owns the Division I record for most 3's by a Freshman and is the highest first year player in MAAC history. Your claim that his is a gunner is also falacious since he is 4th in the league in assists and it has been suggested by his coaches that at times he needs to take more shots. Also note his statistically modest statistics at Rice H.S. where he blended with his surrounding talent. Without Clark, St. Pete's would still be battling Loyola for the basement. I have seen him on many occassions, far more than your closed mind will ever know. Sad that we, like many others, dismissed him as being too small and not capable of playing the point. His presence would have substantially improved our team.
Anyway, enough on Clark and your lack of credibility or accurate information. Go Stags, let's bring closure to the Siena season.

In my opinion, Clark is a very good, (and soon to be great) player who happens to play on a poor team. Therefore he simply has to shoot a lot in order to give his team any chance of winning. It reminds me of what the Stag's asked Troy Bradford to do when he played on a couple of those horrendous teams back in the late 80s.

Idiot, I through out an opinion based on seeing him play. As far as St. Peters, if Loyola hadn't won one, count it one, game in the MAAC, St. Peter's would be right there. 8th place is a helluva finish. I'll take our guys any day. Clarke is a scorer for a bad team, that's great. I never said he was terrible, just not as good, based on seeing him play, as people like you make him out to be. If you want to get personal, let's do that. You obviously went to the statistics and saw his stats. You didn't mention his 4 turnovers a game which completely negates any assists right? St. Peter's unless somebody else steps it up, will be in the same place for years to come - with your God Clarke. Why don't you, as free_beer and myself have done, give our guards credit for being able to exploit his real abilities, as oppose to wish that we had him. I am glad we don't, Gai would get less touches than he already does. Your'e not getting the last word here, as you made it personal. Now how about a reality check - 40% with a 1/1 assists/TO ratio. That's not great genius - it's average. And he is an average/good player that is our player of the year because he shoots at will on a bad team. Give it a rest please.

You are ignorant and biased. With Clark on your team you win the MAAC. Your shrimp guard is going nowhere, but your other guy (Gai) is gone. Now Clark will blow by him since there are no shot blockers for him to contend with. His pipes can't save him. One game does not make or break a player. You are just jealeous that Clark did so well on another team. He is recognized as a budding star nationally, not just in the MAAC. SPC and Loyola will have their time, just wait and see. You are in for a surprise.

To take nothing away from Goode's tenaceous defense on Clark,it was only because he had the luxury of such splendid backup in the paint that he was able to play KeeKee so tightly. In fact Clark did beat him off the dribble many many times only to have his shots block or altered by your second line of defense. It is only because you have a much superior defensive front court that the back court can be so aggressive.
Clark does play on a weaker team ,who in fact more than doubled their win total from 4 to 10 and won a game in the tourney.Only about two weeks ago did a missed stepping out of bounds call by a zebra allow the Stags a last second victory over the Peacock's.
Clark's assist numbers would in fact be nuch better if he had forewards whom could finish the dish offs and guards who could shoot. The turnovers come from his having to play in fact the one and two positions with box and ones anh double teams all season and having to play 40 minutes.
But worry not -help is on the way.Next year the Peacocks will have Jamie Sowers a top foreward out of national hs power St. Patrick's Elizabeth by way of Witchita St, where he was a top rebounder, transfer All NYC , Terrance Watkins -who was more highly rated and pursued than Clark al well as
There are others I will not bore you with but who will help SPC improve their level in the MAAC.
When these arrive Clark may score fewer points as he did in high school, but his game will improve since he will not have to do it all alone.
If you saw him as often as I you would know he was an unselfish, well rounded player and a credit to the MAAC-you would be crazy not to want him on any team at this level.

Hell, I would attempt to smother Clark if I knew that Gai and Deng were patrolling the basket. SPC's freshman is a tremendous talent.
