I think the format achieved its objective. It will validate itself if other conferences adopt it in the future.

I think the format worked great. It made the regular season much more interesting, since the top 4 and the top 1 in particular were rewarded richly.

The top 4 teams played in the semis and the #1 seed beat the #2 seed in the final. That is the way it should work (though upsets are fun too).

As for FF being tired, that is a lame excuse. If they can’t get up for the championship game and a trip to the NCAA’s something is seriously wrong. Siena won 4 games in 4 days last season.

Manhattan earned the right to be a bit more rested in the regular season.
