Subject: MAAC Records vs the Top 5

Stagman posted below on the records of the MAAC teams in the last 5 games, and it showed how close many of the teams were at the end of the season, and that any team could win. But its also the case that whoever wins the MAAC Tourney has to go thru the top 5 schools, and even the #5 seed has a big advantage over #6-#10 because they will open with Loyola. But how has each team done against the top 5 schools???? Here are the W-L's to date:

Siena 5-3
Manhattan 4-3
Fairfield 4-4
Iona 3-4
Niagara 3-5
Rider 3-6
Marist 2-7
Canisius 2-8
St Peters 1-8
Loyola 0-9

Rider looks likes the toughest draw outside the top 5 teams, with 3 wins. The team that wins the MAAC will probably have to defeat at least 2-3 top 5 teams.

Since the tournament will be played on no ones home court, it might be interesting to see how teams have done against each other when playing on the road:

MAAC Road Records

Fairfield 7-1
Manhattan 7-2
Siena 6-3
Niagara 6-3
Marist 3-4
St Peters 2-3
Iona 3-5
Rider 3-5
Canisius 2-7
Loyola 0-9

The MAAC Tournament games aren't road games. They're neutral-site games. Here are those records:

Siena 1-0
Canisius 1-0
Manhattan 5-1
Iona 2-1
Marist 1-1
Fairfield 0-0
Niagara 0-0
Rider 0-0 (SBA games are considered their home games)
Loyola 0-2
St. Peter's 0-3

Records against the top 5 or road records are valid,

Neutral site games hold little value since for the most part they were not against MAAC competition

No. 2 seed Fairfield plays No. 7 seed Marist in the quarterfinals of the MAAC tournament.

In Trenton.

In other words, a NEUTRAL SITE.

Buffoon.

I won’t lower myself to your childish comments. I think they speak for themselves. Posts like the one above is why you are banned on several boards. I'll leave it to FF fans to see who the Dolt is here. Guy has a mantra if he can't beat the message attack the messenger, I'm sure FF fans have seen your tired act before Guy.

If they've seen my "tired act", then likely they know that you live to instigate. :-)

Another one of your traits is that when your efforts to debate are shot down, you resort to changing the subject. :-)

But keep the personal bantering to the sMaac board.

There have only been 3 people banned in the history of the Fairfield board. RiderRaver and Changeman by me..... and Stagman was banned by Guy 3-4 years ago. For those of you that don't know, GuyF used to run the Fairfield board.... for about a month. Can you believe that, an Iona fan running a Stag Fan's site.... a recipe for disaster :)

Lets get back to hoops

Obviously Stagman survived his grisly encounter with Guy with his mental(?) and physical faculties intact.

Just kidding, Stagman. :-)

Those were the Dark Ages of the Stags hoops board! Kind of like when Attila the Hun was running wild.

Just kidding Guy.
