She plays for a powerhouse program. Many are fond of noting that McQuaid Jesuit of Rochester, which will be sending us M. O'Sullivan next year, has three Div.1 recruits. Christ The King has seven seniors who will play on scholarship next year for Div.1 schools and an eighth who will go Div.2. Amazing.

RM, Could you list the other six and where they are going?
Thanks.

I saw a short segment on the team last week on t.v. I can't help with the players' names but seem to recall that two are going to George Mason and another to George Washington.

Bob, if you are interested and have access to the MSG network, there is a weekly show called High School Sports which at this time of the year focuses on hoops. It is there that I saw the aforementioned report. The show airs on Wed. night at 11pm with rebroadcasts on Thurs at 6pm and Sat morning at 10. Normally the show splits time between guys and girls hoops.

Thanks. I'm aware of the show and try to catch it as often as I can. I remember three years ago the girl most mentioned on the show was Janelle Mcmanus.

Does McManus have 1 or 2 years of eligibility left after this year? IMO, you would like her at the 2 rather than the point.

Anyway, with Chartier and Celiberto both seniors next year we need to get a point guard in the house next year. MB took a year to get going. Probably need to bring point guards in the next 2 years.

I believe next year is Janelle's last. All three guards, as well as Schrene, will be seniors. Next season is the year, because we may be re-building again in 2005.

McManus has two years remaining I believe.

I hope you are right. But I think just one.

Played one full year at B.C. Quit three games into her soph year. Transferred in Dec. Sits out a year. Plays second semester to complete second year of eligibility. Has two years remaining, I think. Her situation parallels, to some extent, that of Sam Spann who played one full year at Syracuse, transferred to B.U. for the fall and then onto F.U. for the Spring. He played here for 2.5 seasons. McManus did play a few games at B.C. her soph year. The question of moment is did she forfiet an entire year of eligibility for playing those few games. I am assuming that she did not. Does anyone know for sure?

I can't say I know for sure, but I think if you transfer in mid-season yo do lose that year.
