Subject: Insider's Report Story - Marty O'Sullivan Brings Lots of Intangibles

Here is a synopsis of a story on Insider's Report from people who saw Marty O'Sullivan at the Prime Time Shootout.

- While he may often get overlooked thanks to 6-0 point guard Tyler Relph and 6-8 forward Ryan Pettinella, 6-5 forward Marty O'Sullivan does a lot of little things for the Knights.

- O'Sullivan scored 10 of his 19 points in the second half to help McQuaid Jesuit post a 73-60 victory over Harrisburg (PA) H.S.

- O'Sullivan's offensive output was critical, because the Knights were held to 32 second half points after opening up a 41-26 lead at the break. He hit three of four free throws over the game's final :35 to help McQuaid salt away the victory.

- All of this is good news for Fairfield fans, as O'Sullivan signed with the Stags in November.

- "West Virginia Assistant Coach Jeff Neubauer was at our game last Thursday night and was so impressed with Marty and how much he has improved," McQuaid Head Coach Joe Marchese said. "Marty got 16 rebounds on Thursday night, and tonight he had 19 points, eight rebounds and four or five blocked shots."

- "He does a little bit of everything," Marchese said. "He knows the game so well, and he's going to be a good one for Coach O'Toole at Fairfield."

- Thanks to O'Sullivan, the Knights ended the regular season on Saturday at 20-0. They are now looking forward to winning a state crown, and if they are to do so, there's little doubt that O'Sullivan will play a key role for McQuaid Jesuit.

Old age = shrinkage? I thought it was more like 6'7'' or better.

I have seen him listed as 6-5, 6-6, 6-7, and in the Erie PA paper as 6-8. This 6-5 comes from Rivals Database, and the height tends not to be updated from their Junior year on that site. We have heard from stag03 that MOS has grown and that makes sense from I saw.

I was at the at the Primetime Shootout and MOS looked to be 1 inch smaller than teammate Ryan Pettinella, who is listed as 6-8. He also played against 2 forwards from Harrisburg who were listed at 6-6, and MOS looked an inch taller. Knowing that everyone exagerates, If I had to put my life on it, I would say he is 6-6 1/2...... +/- 1/8th of an inch (lol).

He will be a combo forward, with the footspeed of a PF and the outside game of a SF, and he is a very good shooter. A Jim Cantamesssa type player, with an upside of a Nick Eppihimer.
