Don't worry so much...as Siena showed last year the only thing that matters is winning the in Trenton...just keep playing good strong basketball, and let Gonzo self destruct. He now, according to rumors on the Manhattan board, has the added stress of having to win good so he looks good for Pitt.

The only sure thing at this point is the Maac will not be getting an at large birth this year. If Manhatten had continued there run and lost in the Maac tournament with a project RPI in the high 40's they would have gotten consideration for an at large birth. Now, the only way manhatten gets in is by winning the tournament. Fairfield never had a chance for an at large, since even if they sweep there projected RPI cannot break 60. I would have liked to see Fairfield win the tournament and Manhatten get an at large bid. Best we can hope for now is a few NIT Bids for the Maac. I personally feel Manhatten and Fairfield are both locks for the NIT if they can win the remainder of their games and reach the Maac finals.

The two losses prove that Manhattan doen't deserve an at large bid. What did you want the Gaels and Stags to do, lie down and play dead for the overrated Gonzo who will once again prove that he knows how to burn out his team.

Oh, incidentally, one correction. If the Stags and Manhattan reach the MAAC finals, one of them will be going to the NCAA not the NIT but don't count on one and done Manhattan being there.
