Subject: Please Cancell the Game

Let's see, school is closed. Jordan's national TV game is cancelled, Maryland and Wake's national TV game last night was cancelled, Pitt and G'town's National TV game tonight is cancelled. But the MAAC, FF and the other school's want to play?? Do the sensible, proper thing and cancell the game, please. If they play, it makes the Maac look more rinky dink than it already is, on top of exposing anyone who attends, players, staff, workers, etc. to risk they shouldn't have to deal with. If they play, the commissioner, and his entire staff should be terminated immediately.

The teams, officials are all on hand. Nothing else for viewers to watch today. Pobably give the MAAC a 5.0 rating in most markets. None of the viewer's would expect to see anyone in attendence, so it makes for a good excuse for the typically poor turnout.
You gotta be stupid for thinking otherwise.

Here's one case where playing in the Arena is a huge drawback. Had the game been on campus, I suspect that the snowbound students, with little else to do, would have waded through the snowdrifts and rocked the place. Because of the circumstances, it would have been one of those extra special events a student would always remember.

Agree, OMM. These guys are a bunch of idiots for not postponing, and then again, so am I for heading out the door shortly. I can't recall missing a game since '65, so at least I'll give it a try. If I make it there and make it home ok (a big IF), I'll give a first hand report tonight. Look for me on MSG, I'll be hard to miss as the only fan in the 9,500 seats.

Except that MSG is having satallite problems, so no games so far.
