Subject: Scouting party?

After getting slammed on the Siena board and watching us give one away last week to the Saints, I came to realize that I had become way too overzealous about these boards and that we lost because "they wanted it more" than we did. I appreciated the inquiries in my absence, but I just needed to chill a bit, or as JS said, go scout Canisius. The board has been a little slow since then.

We are getting only "game specific" attendance, with little residual effect from the MC game. I was very disappointed of the poor attendance for the Siena game, a team which would have been competing for 2nd place against us. If we didn't draw well then, what the heck are we in for tonite or for the rest of the season against weaker teams (possible exception - Niagara)?? While few Siena fans drove down on a weeknight, many of the core Stag fans seemed to be missing also. We drew only about a third of the students as we did with MC, and after that loss, there will probably be only a few tonite. Look for a small crowd against the Griffs, maybe 2K if we're lucky with few locals. It seems to me like we had our chance to grow our fan base, but 2 big home losses blew that apart.

We'd better take care of business and get back on track so we can lock up seed #2 in Trenton. Will be interesting to see how we play tonite after a week layoff. Will Dux light it up with 3's? How will Bell look? Will our front line be outclassed as we were a week ago, giving up 2-3 O boards at a time? GO STAGS!!!

Welcome back Stagal, we were worried about you.

Agree on attendance. IMO, we have 2,000 - 2,500 fans..... but for special games we can get 4,000-5,000. Homecoming game vs Marist will probably draw 4,000 -5,000. We need to increase Season Ticket base and that was not done this year because of the disapointing year we had last year. A couple of consecutive winning season should increase Season tickets and attendance by 400 each year.

I wonder if Student's are a no-Show tonight as a protest against the Football situation.

Don't know if Dux will light it up from 3, but Mallory could, and Dux is great at taking into the key and dishing outside to an open shooter. If a tight game near the end, Dux knows how to get fouled and he drains at 90%. Dux is one of my favorite MAAC players of all time, but Goode is also a favorite of mine on "D" so it should be a great matchup.

Looking forward to Live game recaps as I will not be going to tonights game..... its my Daughter's 14th birthday.
