Subject: How far are we out of 1st Place - check out this scenario

By Sunday we could be in control of our own destiny for 1st place. Right now we are 2.5 games out of first, Manhattan is 12-1, and we are 9-3...... but

- if we beat Manhattan on Thursday
- Manhattan then plays a hot Iona team in New Rochelle on Sunday.... its very possible that Iona beats the Jaspers.

Manhattan would be 12-3
Fairfield would be 11-3 (if we beat Marist at home on Saturday)

Both teams would have 3 losses, but we would have a big advantage in the Tie Breaker as we went 2-0 vs Iona, who would be the likely #3 seed, cause they would have just beat Manhattan.... which menans Iona would hold the Tie breaker against all competitors..... that would mean that the Stags control their own destiny.

Its all up to us. If we can win (easier said than done), then Jaspers will have a real hard time in regrouping against Iona. Not as much excitement for this Manhattan game as the last, but its just as important. Most Stag fans are down because of the poor performance vs Niagara, but this team has bounced back quite a few times this year..... I get the feeling they will do it again

JS, that's a mighty big IF scenario!!!!!! Your optimism is admirable, however. I am more of a realist, and hope we can hold onto 2nd place given our play as of late.
