Can someone give us a detail report on what what said on the Interview. My Job is getting the way of Basketball.

Some Comments:
1) TOT said that Manhattan was 2-2 in games where the team was held to no more than 70 pts. So our strategy was to slow down the game.
2) TOT made the point that at F.U. academics are a top priority.
3) When asked about this being the final year of his contract and his having to produce, he said that he has tried to keep the burden of worry in this domain off the shoulders of the players.
4) He said that Ajou, Nick and Oscar are great leaders and that this team reminds him of the '87 team of which he was a member and which went to the NCAA Tourney. Same kind of work ethic, team chemistry and a liking for one another.
5) When Francesa said that F.U. should probably play in a 2500 seat facility instead of a 9000 seat arena, TOT responded that it was a matter of a vision for the future.
6) The youth of the team, especially of the starting five was mentioned.
7) Just as they did in the early nineties, Russo and Francesa said that they might come up to do a game in the future.

Gotta say I was impressed listening to O'Toole. As much as we sometimes bash him, I think he (and Doris) have a plan and have been willing to take some early lumps to attain their vision and (ultimately) success.

When you think about it, the MAAC record really has improved over the years, even though the overall record has been mediocre. Can't compare us to Loyola anymore.

It also sounded like TOT has genuinely been learning from his mistakes and has tried to improve.

If they can come out of this weekend with 2 W's, they will be in good shape.

Wasn't Doris hired from Marist to establish a football program??? Gee I hope the hoops plans turn out better!!
