Still can't believe that obnoxious twerp is doing so well. Dicky V just called him "one of the rising young stars in the coaching ranks". Even a typical MAAC tournament los for Bobby G won't keep him Draddy next year.
If TOT leads Stags to tourney, and follows it with a similar year in 03-04, he will follow Gonzo out the door. Lets get another Duke assistant in the fold:)

Look no further, the talent is next to TOT on the bench. Jerry Hobbie.

Don't know Hobbie very well, but he doesnt seem to be overly blessed with charisma. I was thinking Chris Collins or Steve Wojo-whatever. The reality is, for the good of the program, we all have to hope TOT gets another job. That's a compliment to Tim, ruth.

Don't think Hobbie would be an effective bench coach. We've seen the improvement our big guys have made with Roshawn McLeod, FFld should put the offer on the table.

What a crap shoot! TOT is out of here one way or another...either fired or promoted. Even if he wins the conference and goes to the NCAA, wouldn't he have to do it again (at least once) before he gets promoted to... He might even want to prove it to himself that he can actually "do it" even at the MAAC level.
Or maybe he'd like to built a mid-major powerhouse at FU.

I hope he ends up at St.Johns and fails miserably. Tormented by defections, discipline problems, academic casualties and recruiting violations. In all seriousness, I wish him nothing but failure.

Coach Hobbie would be a good replacement. The players really like him, and he deserves a lot of credit for the recruits we get.

Getting way ahead of ourselves here. I would hope that TOT indeed finishes off the season on a high note first, and then wants to bask in the spotlight and enjoy what he's done before he moves on.
