Subject: Kojo Mensah

PG/SG Kojo Mensah of Bishop Loughlin in Brooklyn had FF on his original list and a Mike Sullivan article has him down to five. Is FF still on the list or does Mike Van Schaick's signing cancel him out?

[> Kojo Mensah - Stags not listed -- JoeStag, 20:00:32 01/29/03 Wed

Kojo Mensah is a bouncy 6-1 180 pound combo guard from Bishop Loughlin HS in NYC. His stock continues to rise since the summer.

- Kojo lists Dayton, St. Bonaventure, Providence, St. Joseph's, and Hofstra. He says he has offers from all five. Mensah said that he will start setting up visits in the near future, and that he would like to visit all five campuses.

- Kojo is an extremely athletic combo with a quick first step and a great hops. Mensah also possesses very good court awareness. He flings passes to teammates with both hands and sees the floor very well. Mensah possesses a considerable reach for a guard, which helps him on the defensive end.

-The biggest question mark with Kojo has been his shooting. While he is more of a slasher, Mensah has shot the ball pretty well this winter for Coach Ted Gustus.

[> [> Enough with the confusing names already ;-) -- Veal Cutlet, 23:57:18 01/29/03 Wed

As if broadcasters don't have enough trouble with Ajou Deng Gai (I remember last year there were some box score errors with "Deng" listed twice, no?), could you imagine calling a game with a backcourt of Kudjo and Kojo?

With Ajou and Deng and Kudjo and Tyquan you already have your share of all-namers - give someone else a chance!
