NOTES: The Stags need one more victory to insure a second consecutive non-losing MAAC season for the first time in their 22 seasons in the MAAC. The Stags were 9-9 last season.

ŠAttendance was 2,504. Š The Stags are off for a week before hosting Canisius next Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

You did not say back to back non losing season you said back to back winning seasons. Additionally you were wrong about the Stags beating Siena. Lets see now you were wrong about Coach K's record, you are wrong about the cost of tickets for Students, wrong about the university's policy for providing buses to games, wrong about the stags record last year, wrong about beating Siena and wrong about who posted what replies to your earlier posts.

TruthGeorge I'm afraid TR doesn't have the insight or self confidence necessary to admit error. It is therefore an exercise in futility to point it out to such a person. Besides if one wishes to wallow in their own ignorance we should allow it. After all its probably all they have to brighten an otherwise drab existence.

There is one other quote that reveals the depths of this persons contempt for all loyal Stag fans, he/she posted "Who do you think you guys are to criticize & call for someone's head? Duke? Terps? Kentucky." In other words in this persons opinion we are not good enough t o have opinions about our own Univ. Such persons are beneath contempt.

I only hope TOT has continued success in the next few years. Then when the inevitable happens & he signs a lcrative contract with a larger program those who feel we're not good enough will have someone else to target as they inevitably will. I for one say godspeed!!!

Ray - you are correct as usual. Several of my friends that are posters on this board have begged me to just ignore her posts. They believe I encourage her through my responces and they believe this poster is so desperate for attention she is actually posting replies to her own posts because no one else will agree with them.

I should take your advice. I should take the advice of RF. You are both right but I can't help but get galled at the stupidity of TR's posts. There are hundreds of Stag Fans like you and me that wish for nothing but the success of the program. We have been loyal fans for years, and have contributed financially and spiritually to the program. Consequently I feel we have a right to comment on both the good and the bad. I route hard for the stags and hard for O'toole. I want him to succeed. However, I want to have dialog about the team that is honest and sensible. This gal clearly is not a Stag fan, she is an O'Toole apologist who has nothing constructive or intelligent to contribute to this board. Thankfully I can count on you, JS, Reindeer Fan, Running Man, Tony, JCM, Bridgeport, red sea and countless others who I can't remember to contribute interesting and meaningful dialog. Thanks for your post....

I don't know why we keep coming back to this, but if you take a look at your original message, you quote a "winning season". A record of 9-9 is not a winning season as you claimed, but it is a non-losing season as the Advocate claimed.

After my initial posting. I admitted I phrased the impending milestone incorrectly - and restated it (check the posts -don't take my word for it) - I have no problem admitting when I am in error, and that, dear boys, has nothing to do with confidence...

I was correct about Coach K's first 4 seasons - never breaking .500 - that is also fact..

Bottom line - next win and this Stag team will have done something no other Stag hoop team has done in the history of MAAC play.. but no one wants to acknowledge that fact - except the Stamford Advocate - well after I posted it..

criticize all you wish.. that is the Truth.. Ruth..

Coach K did not have a losing record his first four years. In fact he had a winning record 3 out of his first fours years while coaching Army a team notorious for having an awful basketball program. Even while at Duke he had a winning record 2 out of his first 4 years. The information posted below can be found at the Duke website.
