Puma's coverage of the Stags has been exemplary. There have been more articles and those articles have been very fair. Stop looking for conspirators around every corner!

Keep searching for the Advocate story, they don't cover road games. Yeah, that's better coverage than the CT Post.

Sorry, I should have said the vast majority of road games.

Please!!! Did you read Sienna's local papers coverage of the game? That's the type of story coverage we deserve.. C'mon "exemplary"???? I have to disagree.

The headline stories on the front page were both about the uconn teams. The Stags got a headline on the Sports section though. It would be real nice if Puma/Elsberry could drum up support over the next few days for the Jasper game, which we could get close to 5,000 fans for, especially the students. This is one big home game!!!

You people have to undestand the mission of a newspaper.

Stagal, you are a smart guy, heck you were my high school social studies teacher, you understand that the local paper's mission is to sell papers,

The vast majority of the readership in the circulation area of the CT Post still cares much more about the Huskies than the Stags. That's a fact. Many many many UConn grads in the area, the "subway alumni" effect is huge. Heck I watch the Huskies still to this day. I neither went there, nor have I lived in Connecticut for over 10 years.

Could that change over time? yes ... but it is the responsibility of the newespaper to REFLECT that change, not INITIATE it! If the Stags keep winning, people will care, and then attendance will rise, and coverage (which by the way is far greater than most teams in the Maac) will increase. Remember, they have been real bad for a real long time.

Some day, try to find an article about Loyola in the Baltimore Sun on a day that Maryland played.

You have a nice team this year, enjoy it instead of complaining all the time.

Go Stags, Beat the Jaspers

I understand, Mike P. However, the team is improving and momentum is on our side. The Ct. Post is our main link to the public, and if you can help us draw more fans, then we'll be able to recruit better players and have more winning seasons. This in turn will draw more readers to your paper. Look back at UCONN just over 20 years ago (about the same time you were eating Pablum, ha), they were much like us. Now look at their success story, everyone wants to go to their games and newspaper coverage is incessant. The STAGS may be at the beginning of that cycle right now, and your input will go a long way to help us. We have a great new home, better recruits, and a team that is winning. So, I don't mean to be a complainer, and your coverage has been better this year. See me instead as a long suffering, perhaps prophetic STAG fan instead.

Just a guy who took an occasional nap in your history class (couldn't get away with that in Whealan's or Step's class). Seriously, though, I learned a lot. We really knocked the hell out of Germany in the Civil War.

Yeah right. Go back to sleep. Wasn't that the Revolutionary War?? See me at the game tomorrow.
