Subject: Early tempo

Should be quite a war. Even have a carful of UConn fans coming down from Hartford who are suddenly curious about this game...possibly seeing a great one.

Only concern is our starting tempo. We take so damn long to get rolling. Why is it?

Really good question. Cause we like living on the edge! The important thing, however is that we finish strong. Would we prefer to start strong like Siena, and then finish like they did? We are a good team, NOT a great team (yet). Who have we blown out? Nobody. 0. Nada. What is our record?
11-5. I think that if we play them even by halftime, we have a better than even chance of winning this game. Slow down Flores, go to the boards, avoid foul trouble, and don't turn the ball over are the keys to this game.

Good post on tempo, as I also see it as important. I will be looking for us to come out Quick of Defense and with Solid Ballhandling. We do that, and our defense and offense will take care of itself.

UCONN Fans. It would be nice is some stag posters put some message on the UCONN site about the game tomorrow. It might help generate local interest in the game and boost attendence.

Secondly, I'd rather see this team in a tie game at the half than with a huge lead. They just don't know how to play with a lead and play better when fighting from behind.
