There is no explanation for it - it doesn't make sense. Ajou does things that don't show in stats. He has a presence - the team does click better when he's in - he doesn't get rattled - make stupid mistakes. He can pass, is best post feeder on team, can rebound, shoot & block shots. His lateral movement may not be back 100%, but I dissagree about defending Manhattan - he intimidates with his shot blocking ability. When he and DG were in, there were very few points in the paint. TOT stated after Sienna win that Ajou helped keep FF in the game in the first half - which was obvious to everyone - what was not obvious was why he barely got off the bench in the 2nd -Why? He played solid in first half against Manhattan - got off the bench for 1 1/2, maybe 2 minutes in the 2nd. A mystery. I thought he was helpful in the first half against the press - the same press that dogged FF in the 2nd when he was riding the pine. Everyone's been waiting for his break out - something hard to accomplish from the bench. As you can see, I like Ajou & feel better I have vented.

Re sitting Ajou to develop players coming back - If I'm Ajou and I'm gonna sit in order to help to develop the team for next year - I'm walking. Why rehab, spend 30-40 hours a week at class & studying for a degree I'm not completing anyway for a sparse 10 minutes a game? See ya! It was DG who had his passes picked.

A hypothetical question to let you ponder that has nothing to do with Ajou's PT: Where do you think the FF program would be if Ajou had transferred to another team? What would this year be like for TOT & the FF faithful?

When the team was down at the end of the game and needed to start firing three's why wasn't Ajou in there? He's 6-10 and nobody is going to block his shot. Last year he lead the team in 3 point shooting percentage. As much as I love Tyquan, it is tough for a 5-5 player to get off a three when everyone knows Fairfield needs one.

I thought Ajou single handed kept Fairfield in the Siena game. His offense looked good. He needs to play more. I like Garcia but Ajou needs to take some minutes away from him, and some from Maxwell, Thompson, Delficco and Gai. O'toole needs to find a way to scale each of these players back 2 minutes a piece so that Ajou plays at least another 10 minutes per game.

I thought Ajou was on the court for quite a bit of time in the mid second-half and fankly I thought his play was disappointing. He threw away a couple of passes and didn't do any better than any of our other big men in terms of rebounding. I think that's why he wasn't in at crunch time. He's clearly not there yet.

Maybe someone out there knows better than me and is able to refute my belief that Ajou doesn't seem recovered sufficiently from his surgery and consequently may not be able to contribute like he did last year. When I watch him on the court, he appears to be limping. Am I wrong? Can he really give us 25 good minutes per game? Any comments?

I might add that one of the most distressing observations, to me at least, is that Ajou will not complete his grad degree(Proud Papa) after completing half the requirements. This is really, really sad.
