Subject: PUMA ARTICLE

Frankly I was surprised to see an article in the Post today. It was a good follow up article by Puma on our lack of mental toughness and not being able to stop Flores. Garcia was called by Gonzo "the toughest (expletive) in the league" to his face after the game. TOT wondered how Bell might have done if he had been available, a point I made yesterday. It is also questionable if he would be able to make a difference the next time around. Obviously there was a breakdown on our part in the second half which needs to be corrected, and was made worse by some bad officiating.

Bell losing 10-15 pounds on his frame is quite a bit, and that means it will take more time to get his strength and stamina back. His Track background gives him the experience on what he has to do to get into shape.

Agree with TOT 100%, our switching and team defense was not there. A better or different defensive scheme is needed to beat Manahttan in Riverdale.

On the Oscar - Ajou playing time issue below, I do agree that Ajou should have played more..... like the 15min he was getting recently. However, I feel that neither played good defense the other night...... they both needed to be quicker battling thru picks and switching. IMO, whoever plays the better "D" gets the PT.

Manhatten played a front line of 6-5, 6-6, 6-7..... not very big, but they were quicker and more aggressive. The use of Maxwell at PF, would have been a better defensive matchup.

We did not lose the Manhattan game for lack of offense, but a lack of defnsive focus. I feel that TOT is focusing on the right area.
